We will be delivering Good Friday but NOT Easter Monday. We hope you all have a super Easter break filled with chocolate, hot cross buns, radishes and asparagus!!

There are two types of people in this world... those who LOVE the skin on top of custard and those who just can’t abide it and would rather walk over hot coals/stick pins in their eyes/watch Dancing on Ice on repeat (delete as applicable) than go anywhere near it. I’m in the former camp, spoons in both hands. One to warn off other, fellow CSLs (custard skin lovers) and the other to dive in with.

What’s not debatable, however, is how ruddy fantastic said custard goes with FORCED RHUBARB. Especially our rhubarb from the Yorkshire Triangle. Oh yes, the real McCoy. Fuchsia funkiness at its best!

As the most famous bunny (Bugs obviously) said ‘Carrots are divine... You get a dozen for a dime, it’s maaaaaagic!’ Not taking into account the rate of inflation, petrol prices etc, he may be a bit off with his cost estimations. Nay matter, it’s Easter so I rather suspect it’s chocolate on his mind rather than carrots.

Not in our case, however. Resting on that forefrontal mental plinth, we have TOMATOES... SANTORANGE, PLUM, MIDI-PLUM, and RED BEEF!! What’s more, we have been able to add ASPARAGUS to our offerings. Despite the impending lull in temperatures, you can still ensure spring arrives on your plates... BUNCHED RADISHES, WHITE SPROUTING BROCCOLI and BABY RED WATERCRESS all bringing some sunshine glam to the picture too!

Unfortunately, there’s not room for all our stars so we’ve had to say goodbye to our positively wintersome PARSNIPS, TURNIPS, SWEDE, JANUARY KINGS, RED CABBAGE, KALE, RUSSET APPLES and COMICE PEARS.

OK folks, keeping you in the picture as promised with this one. We’re still having problems due to the mightily cold snap we had a week ago and this weekend’s drop in temperature set us back further. We’re looking to have green and red baby watercress back with us by the end of this week, but again, I’ll let you know any developments, positive or negative.

Once again, we can only apologise for any inconvenience this is causing you and ask you to please bear with us while the problem is rectified.

Many thanks for your time and patience.
